Is the Horse Dead?

The dead horse ("pulling a dead horse") as a concept sparked my interest in the boundaries between rot and life: something rotten that turns into something becoming something new. This interest turned into a visual research and study into the shape and form of decay. With the medium that comes most natural to me, drawing, I created a body of work that explores this topic in a variety of ways. I also used a lasercut to turn shape into object.

Finalizing the project, I created a graphic novel that continues the exploration of shape into a narrative.
