Stormlicht ("light of the storm") is a video-installation based on the children's book Lampje by Annet Schaap. The video tries to capture the atmosphere of a lonely girl living in a lighthouse in the midst of a roaring storm. In the book, the girl has conversations in her head with the storm. I used chemical fluids that react on magnetism to recreate this feeling of push and pull, of wind and water, of "back-and-forth". Added to that I created an acapella soundscape to accompany the visuals.
