The Current is a short documentary that tries to find an answer to the question: what fascinates us so much about the sea? Through excerpts from books and interviews with both strangers and experts such as marine biologist Francesca Sangiorgi, I try to dispel the magic, mysterious effect that the sea has on me—and realize how much we need the ocean.
